The Washington County Board of Supervisors have approved bids for some construction work.  Washington County Engineer David Patterson says there were three bidders for two projects.  The first is for 1.75 miles of Quince Avenue southeast of Washington which includes a box culvert replacement.

The second is for two and half miles of work on 330th Street east of Redwood Avenue.  These projects are related to bonding work completed earlier in the year.

The winning bids were awarded to DeLong Construction of Washington.  The project on 330th Street was awarded for almost $374,000 and the Quince Avenue project was awarded for a little over $354,000.

Patterson says the road work might start in the spring due to other work being completed now with the exception of the box culvert replacement which will be done this fall.
