The prices of corn and soybeans went up last month and are significantly higher than this time last year.  July corn was at $6.50 a bushel, up twenty cents from June and three dollars higher than last year.  Soybeans also saw an increase last month.

They sold for $13.50 per bushel up 30 cents from June.  Last year they were selling for $9.69 a bushel.

Joni Sandburg with the Farmers Coop in Ainsworth says these numbers reflect the prices paid by farmers for commodities and services, interest, taxes, and farm wage rates.
