Approximately 5:45 last night the Washington County Safety Center received a call of a crop duster crash at 2344 265th St, the Craig and Holly Jones residence.  According to emergency units on the scene, it was determined that the pilot had to make an emergency landing and did so effectively in the yard coming to rest against the residence.  The pilot, Michael Hayman of Leland, Mississippi suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The residence also received minor damage.  The Federal Aviation Administration has been contacted to investigate the crash.

Those responding to the scene were the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Ambulance, Washington County Rescue Squad and the Washington Fire Department.  KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
