The Washington Demons enter week two of the football season this week, with the goal of cutting down on penalties. The Demons won their opener against Mid-Prairie Friday 27-8. Washington was down 8-6 at half time. Demon Head Coach Randy Shrader says they need to address eliminating some of their penalties. He feels part of that problem might have been that the kids may have been too emotionally high. He did like their intensity and felt they took up a notch late and their conditioning allowed them to take their game to that level. The Demons head to Keokuk Friday to face a Chief team that won their opener 63-14.
