As another school year approaches, some Washington County students will have a new opportunity to learn and have fun this fall.  The Washington County Extension is teaming up with Brighton Horizons to kick off a new program for Brighton students called the Brighton Bear Cub Club.

Youth Coordinator Amy Green says participants in the club will now have 15 open afternoons during the school year which were not available before.  She says Brighton Horizons will fund much of the program, but a small enrollment fee will be required for cost of materials for activities.

If you and your student are interested in getting signed up, or if residents would like to volunteer with the program, contact the Washington County Extension.

The deadline for registration is September 1.
