Area farmers now have an opportunity to help their local communities grow.  The Monsanto America’s Farmers Grow Communities program directs $2,500 to non‑profit organizations in their local communities. Nearly sixty thousand farmers in 38 states have signed up since the program started two years ago and more than four point two million dollars has been donated to rural America.

A winner will be chosen in each eligible county in January of next year.  Last year, Larry Cuddeback from Washington County chose the Washington Junior High School to receive the grant.
