Area farmers have an opportunity to help their local communities grow again this year.  The Monsanto America’s Farmers Grow Communities program directs $2,500 to non‑profit organizations in their local communities.

Since the program started two years ago, nearly sixty thousand farmers in 38 states have signed up and more than four point two million dollars has been donated to rural America.  A winner will be chosen in each county eligible in January of next year.

Last year, Larry Cuddeback chose the Washington Junior High School to receive the grant.  The applications are due November 30th and the application can be found by following the link here.
