Statistics from the Iowa Department of Agriculture show recent increases in farmland values in the state.  The Henry County Extension is offering a Farmland Valuation workshop later this month to help area farmers make decisions about purchasing and selling farm land while prices are up.

Regional Extension Education Director Gene Mohling says making farmland purchases or sale decisions can be difficult because of money involved, but the seminar can also help with making decisions during periods of volatile prices for corn and soybeans.

The workshop costs $25, and will be held at the Henry County Extension Office August 30 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.  To pre-register for the seminar, contact the Henry County Extension.
