A Keota group is close to finalizing its plans for future development in the town.  The Keota Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee met Tuesday to speak with a representative from MSA Professional Services of Cedar Rapids about the next steps of the project and how to implement the goals contained within the plan.

Committee chairman Scott Flynn says attendees were able to give their input and help review a first draft of the balance of the comprehensive 20 year plan for Keota.

He also reminds Keota residents that next month’s meeting is open to the public, and is the last chance to offer opinions and input.

Flynn says the September meeting is the last meeting to offer questions and comments before the final draft is submitted to the Keota Planning and Zoning Commission.

The public is encouraged to attend the September 13th meeting at 7:00 in Keota City Hall.
