Kids in Washington County have been very active this summer with a number of opportunities to enjoy their break.  The Washington County Extension has hosted a number of events and camps to entertain kids throughout the summer. 4-H Youth Coordinator Amy Green says children in Brighton in kindergarten through sixth grade had the chance to participate in day camps all week.

She says each day camp had a different theme and featured games, experiments, field trips, and exploring in the Lake Darling area.

She says the camps provided kids with a way to finish out the summer on a fun note before heading back to school.
