Late-Season Round of Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today

The National Weather Service has issued a slight risk of Severe Thunderstorms for all of Southeast Iowa this afternoon and evening.

There is a 15% chance of severe weather in the KCII listening area. The largest threats will be winds in excess of 60 MPH and large hail. The last round of severe storms in southeast Iowa knocked out power in Wellman, Fairfield, and Mt. Pleasant early Sunday morning. Stay tuned to KCII and visit for the latest AccuWeather forecasts.
