The cleanup of a meth lab in Keokuk County had one agency scrambling for funds, but found some support from the county budget.  County Auditor Christy Bates says the task force that usually handles the cleanups didn’t budget the correct amount of funds.

After the need to cleanup a meth lab in the county arose, Bates says the county was able to step in and help provide the finances in order to make the cleanup happen.

She adds that from now on, any funding needed for meth lab cleanups will come from the county budget.
