Residents of Washington County who have long term care insurance may not know of the uses with that policy.  Susan Wellington from Lending Hands Adult Day Services says this type of insurance covers not only care in a nursing home, but also services at adult day centers.

She says if someone is looking to use services like what they offer, they will refer them to their insurance provider to make sure they are covered.

Wellington adds they also have to provide the insurance company with information before they are serve that individual.

She adds many times people may not be aware of what services are available through long-term care insurance.
