A group of Model A Fords is paying a visit to Washington tonight.  The Central Iowa Model A Ford Club is touring Iowa on their 16th Great Annual Model A Ride Around Iowa (GAMARAI).  Joe Lamb, the group’s Tour Coordinator says he started these tours in 1995 to see the many hidden treasures in the small towns across the state.

He says the group started as an Iowa only event and has grown to cover 36 cars from six different states.  This year’s route is leaving Des Moines and will be traveling through Oskaloosa and stopping in Sigourney and finishing their day enjoying the Municipal Band on the square tonight.

Lamb says they will visit Kalona and Iowa City tomorrow before traveling on to Cedar Rapids, the Amanas and Newton on Saturday before returning back to Des Moines on Sunday.  To learn more about the Central Iowa Model A Ford Club, follow the link here.
