The Sigourney-Keota Cobras have a new coach and the big question is what kind of offense will he run. Jared Jenson comes to S-K from Twin Ceadars. He takes over for Mark Shilb who went to Oskaloosa. Jenson grew up in Creston and says the big thing that brought him to Sigourney-Keota is the football tradition. The Cobras have been known for their single wing offense that uses a lot of deception with fakes. Jenson says it’s an offense he wants to keep in place. He is working on adding a few wrinkles and packages to throw a little bit more especially when teams want to put a lot up front to stop their run. S-K reached the quarterfinals last season and lost to the eventual state champs Iowa City Regina.
