The Washington City Council has chosen a new City Administrator. As part of a special session Saturday, the Council picked Brent Hinson to be the new City Administrator. Mr. Hinson is a graduate from the University of Northern Iowa and Drake University.

He has been the City Administrator in Garner since July of 2005.  He will replace Dave Plyman who left Washington for Rochelle, Illinois the end of May. Hinson was one of five finalists out of 90 applicants.

He will begin working with Washington on Monday, October 17th.
