Washington Community School District’s student achievement scores have improved.  Superintendent Dr. Mike Jorgensen says the No Child Left Behind Act sets goals in Math and Reading scores for grades three through eight and 11 to show student achievement for a district and a school building.

He says the District has met the criteria for the grade levels for all students for the last school year.  Dr. Jorgensen adds the District is scoring at a proficient level when compared to other students in Iowa in both Math and Reading.

He says last year they were deficient in seven areas in Math and Reading levels.  To read more from Dr. Jorgensen, follow the link here.
