The Washington Community School District is holding two open houses next week to kick off the school year.  An open house is being held at Stewart Elementary to show off the new improvements at the school.  These improvements include new windows, a new Geothermal heating/cooling system, new efficient lighting, new ceiling tile, new electric wiring, code upgrades and plumbing upgrades.

The open house at Stewart is Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.  As part of the Junior High’s Open House, students will have the opportunity to get their class schedules and meet their teachers.

Parents will also have the opportunity to sign up for involvement in the Parents Involved in Education Organization.  A walk through of the new high school is happening at the same time.  The Open House at the Junior High School runs from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
