The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved the first reading of the ordinance for the adoption of the County Redistricting plan.  The polling places will be finalized by the final reading and before the plan is sent to the Secretary of State by the 15th of October.  The Supervisors also passed a resolution of paying a retainer to the Washington County Medical Examiner of $300 a month which will be paid quarterly.

Washington County Engineer David Patterson presented a request for funding and a letter of support for paved shoulder improvements along Highways 1 and 92 from the west side of Washington to Highway G36.  He says the new shoulders would create improvements in safety.

Patterson is requesting $15,000 in funding from the Road Use Tax Fund in the Fiscal Year 2013 budget toward the project if the city of Washington receives a grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation.
