The Washington City Council is holding a series of public hearings as part of their meeting tonight. The readings will include amending the City Code for a change in speed limit on South 9th Avenue, adding a weight limit upon certain streets and weight limit zones and the addition of a stop intersection on South 9th Avenue and East Van Buren Street.
Discussion will also be held for a contract for consulting services for a historic survey and national Register of Historic Places Nomination Project in downtown. The Washington City Council meeting begins at 6:00 tonight in the old public library.
