IMS Falls to Mepo in SEISC Volleyball Tournament Quarterfinals

The IMS volleyball team lost in the quarterfinals in the Super Conference volleyball tournament. IMS had advanced as the second team out of pool play Thursday evening and in the quarterfinals met up with 2A #5 Mediapolis, who was number one out of their pool. Mepo beat IMS 25-11 and 25-18 on Saturday in Burlington. Mediapolis would go on to make the finals and lose to 1A #3 Holy Trinity in three in a best of three match. For IMS, in the tournament they beat Cardinal, Van Buren, and Fairfield Maharishi and lost to Holy Trinity in pool play. Individually for IMS:

Casey Perez – 49 assists, 10 kills, 22 defensive digs, 46-48 serving with 7 aces
Olivia Yutzy – 23 kills, 19 digs, 36-39 serving with 4 aces, 3 solo blocks
Laura Hochstetler – 15 kills, 38 digs (20 defensvie digs in the HTC game), 22-22 serving with 1 ace, 4 blocks
Laura Yoder – 8 kills, 29-31 serving with 4 aces
Anya Slabaugh – 7 kills, 6 blocks
Kristin Davis – 5 kills, 4 assists
Keilah Brokaw – 25-26 serving with 3 aces and 10 digs
Naomi Miller – 41 digs, 21-23 serving wtih 4 aces

IMS will host Louisa-Muscatine and WACO this week.
