IMS Plays at Mount Vernon Volleyball Tournament

The IMS volleyball team was at Mount Vernon this past weekend for a tournament. IMS ended up winless on the day but were playing some pretty big schools. IMS lost in three to Tipton, and in two to Marquette, Center Point Urbana and North Cedar. IMS Head Coach Cindy Miller says her team showed plenty of character and sparks of greatness throughout the day. As a team they ended up 91 percent on the day and serving up 17 aces. Individually:
Olivia Yutzy 19 kills
Laura Hochstetler 13 kills 26 digs
Anya Slabaugh 9 kills
Casey Perez 41 assists 22 digs 34-34 serving with six aces
Naomi Miller 22 digs
IMS is now 2-6 overall on the season.
