The city of Keota could acquire the pool at Lagos Acres Country Club if enough funds are in the budget.  City Clerk Niki Osweiler says the owners of the country club approached the city council at its meeting this week to discuss future options.  She says Lagos Acres will likely not have enough money in its budget to fully operate the pool for much longer.

Osweiler says the city council will take a look at the costs of running the pool at its next meeting.

The city of Keota currently owns the pool property, but Lagos Acres is in charge of the everyday operations.

Osweiler says if the city decides to take full control of the pool, it would be Keota’s first city pool.
