The Mid-Prairie and Keota Community School Districts are back in school today after their first professional development day for teachers and staff. Superintendent Mark Schneider says they have three full day professional development days in the school year and eight early out days for that purpose. At Mid-Prairie, they worked on their district curriculum map which clearly lays out a district wide curriculum.
At Keota, Schneider says they were learning about technology, specifically using Google Documents. This allows various documents and spreadsheets to be shared through the Internet.
