The Henry County Sheriff’s office has been keeping a close eye on drivers not wearing their seatbelts, and officials report almost perfect results from a recent survey.  Henry County Sheriff Allen Wittmer says his department in conjunction with the Iowa Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau conducted two seatbelt surveys earlier this month.

One took place on U.S. Highway 34 and the other on U.S. Highway 218.  Wittmer says the surveys showed over 99 percent of Henry County drivers were using their seatbelts.

He says the Sheriff’s office will continue to monitor seatbelt use closely.
