A new service is available in the county for those currently out of work. Iowa Workforce Development has announced some IowaWORKS Access Points in southeast Iowa. According to the Iowa Workforce Development’s website, several locations have been chosen as a way for unemployed individuals to find work.
Anne Skaden with the Kalona Library says they have one computer specifically designed for this software program. She says the computer is available when the library is open and provides many options from various online training opportunities, a resume builder and an interviewing guide.
She adds users can also file an unemployment claim and have access to job listings in the state. Other IowaWORKS locations in southeast Iowa:
