A two-year renovation to the Corner Drug Store in Sigourney has resulted in brand new offices for city officials.
Sigourney’s new city hall opened July 25th, but yesterday held a grand opening celebration.
Mayor Pat Miletich says the city had operated out of the same building for 87 years, and it was time for a change.
Congressman Dave Loebsack was also in town to commemorate the opening. He says he appreciates how the new building still captures the history of the city.
The cost of the renovations totaled just over $367,000. Miletich says she’s grateful for the help city employees, contractors, and vendors provided in finishing the project.
