A popular agriculture festival starts up this week in Mt. Pleasant.  The Old Threshers Reunion has been celebrated by Midwestern residents for over 60 years.

Organizer Terry McWilliams says the event is an agricultural heritage show which celebrates southeast Iowa’s rich history in farming.

He says event goers can see a number of antique tractors and cars as well as steam trains and electric trolleys. He says about 100 different events are part of each day at the reunion.

The Old Threshers Reunion runs through Monday at the Reunion Grounds in Mt. Pleasant.  One day admission costs $12, or multi-day admission costs $20.
