Unofficial results are in for today’s School district elections. Many seats were unopposed on the Washington Community School Board. These School Director positions will serve four year terms.
A $46.5 million bond issue extension for Kirkwood Community College in Washington County passed and a Physical Plant and Equipment Property Tax levy on the ballot in the Highland School District also passed with more than 50 percent in favor.
The results will be certified as part of this week’s Board of Supervisors meetings in the area. Below is the listing of election results from Washington County and all area school districts.
Washington Community School District – 6% of eligible voters voted
District 1 winner – Stephanie Ellingson with 59 votes
District 2 winner – Troy Suchan
District 3 winner – Eric Turner with 82 votes
District 4 winner – Ericka Raber with 74 votes
Kirkwood Public Measure B – Passed
Mid-Prairie Community School District – 5% of eligible voters voted
Four seats up for election
Winners: George Schaefer (212 votes), Randy Billups (198 votes), Matthew Frascht (164 votes), and Chuck Freeman (148 votes)

Highland Community School District – 11% of eligible voters voted
At large – Nick Smith with 119 votes
District 2 winner – Michael Golden with 203 votes
District 4 winner – Megan Allen with 187 votes
District 6 winner – Cindy Michel with 235 votes
Public Measure A (PPEL) – Passed
Kirkwood Public Measure B – Passed
Lone Tree Community School District – 1 seat up for election
Joel Yedlik wins with 152 votes
Keota Community School District – 3 seats up for election
District 1 winner – Jared Lyle with 145 votes
District 2 winner – Lisa White with 129 votes
District 5 winner – Scott Flynn with 89 votes
Pekin Community School District – 4 seats up for election
District 1 winner – Steve Copeland with 248 votes
District 2 winner – Michael Davis with 182 votes
District 4 winner – Greg Millikin with 144 votes
At large winner – Jennifer Coleman with 205 votes
Sigourney Community School District – 4 seats up for election
District 2 winner – Marsha Steinhart
District 5 winner – Terry Hollingsworth
District 6 winner – Mark O’Rourke
District 7 winner – Denise Conrad
Tri-County School District – 3 at-large seats up for election
Winners – Justin Leer, Jody Schroeder, and Kelly Tish
