The Washington Demons host their annual cross country meet today. The Demons are coming off a nice performance at Lake Darling on Saturday. The Demon girls finished 3rd as a team while the boys finished 5th. Head Coach Steve Roth says the meet is a little different because they also award top finishers from each class. He says the Demon sophomore boys won their class with Noah Lebsack running 17:48 for first place, Sergio Anrade 4th and Fletcher Green 6th. On the girls side, Stephanie Loy took first for the freshmen, and Sarah Greiner took third. Lauren Kimball finished 5th among the juniors, and Regan Enfield 4th among seniors.

Now the Demons host the Washington Invite and it will be run at the Washington Golf and Country Club. Roth says this is the first time in a few years it’s been run there. He likes it because he feels it is fan friendly and easy to see the runners.
