This week is National 4-H Week and Washington County is continuing to celebrate the 4‑H youth who have made an impact in the community.  4-H County Council member Bridget Nebel says one of the leaves of the 4-H represents the heart.  She says part of the 4-H pledge is pledging your heart to greater loyalty, club, community and world.

Nebel adds it helps with both physical and mental emotional development. She says over the past nine years, having a positive heart has helped her come out strong when presenting her projects.

Nebel says having a heart of kindness has resulted in a great response from the community after a service project has been completed as well.
