This week is National 4-H Week and Washington County is honoring the 4‑H youth who have made an impact in the community.  4-H County Council member Jacque Spenner says the third leaf of the 4-H represents hands.   She says over the last eight years, 4-H has taught her specifically how to use her hands when doing the various 4-H projects.

Spenner adds using hands is important toward community service in 4-H.  She says last year during the County Fair, the County Council came together to use their hands to sponsor Pink Week.  The proceeds from Pink Week will benefit this year’s Washington County Relay for Life.
