The Washington City Council is set to meet tonight and as part of their meeting, they will be holding public hearings.  These hearings will be to amend ordinances of adding a special yield at East 9th Street and North 7th Avenue as well as no parking zones on East Van Buren Street at South Iowa Avenue.  A third reading of the ordinance amendment will be for adding a no through truck zone on South 9th Avenue at East Polk Street.

The Council will hear a presentation from the Sports Group about Soccer at the “School 90.”  There will also be discussion and consideration about a resolution of a grant application to the Washington County Riverboat Foundation for paved shoulder improvements on Highway 1 and 92.

A date will be set for a public hearing for the demolition of the buildings at 209 and 211 South Marion Avenue.  The Washington City Council meeting is tonight at 6:00 in the old public library.
