The City of Kalona has begun resurfacing C Avenue with goal of having it done before the cold weather comes. City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh says at a special council meeting on Monday, the city awarded a 150-thousand dollar bid to L and L Pelling out of North Liberty.

The project covers a three block section of C Avenue. Work began on the street earlier this week.
