The Columbus Wildcats hosted their cross country meet earlier this week at Cedar Crest Golf Course. Head Coach Mike Jay says they had a pretty tough field with Wilton, WACO, Winfield-Mount Union, Sigourney, Keota, Holy Trinity, Mediapolis, and Cardinal in town. Jay says on the boys side they won as a team with six finishing in the top 20. Ruben Jasso finished third and Ray Quiroz came in sixth.

On the girls side, Columbus came in second losing to Wilton by one point. For the Wildcats, Taylor Hills finished 7th and Caitlin Chaney came in 12th.

Highland boys finished third at the meet. Matt Eden placed 7th and Zach Popham 11th.

Both schools will be running in Keosauqua as Van Buren hosts the Super Conference meet tomorrow.
