Area cross country teams are running at state qualifying meets today. The Washington Demons are running at Anamosa which has a very tough field including Central DeWitt, Solon, Fort Madison, Mount Pleasant, Xavier, Marion. Demon Head Coach Steve Roth says they will face some stiff competition but he feels it will make them run better.

The area 2A schools are running at Louisa-Muscatine and the 1A schools are at Wapello. The top three teams advance to state and the top ten individuals move on.
