The Washington Demons were in a must win situation to get into the playoffs and they had a dandy of a game in Williamsburg last night. In a game heard on KCII, it was a defensive battle in the first half. The only points came on a late first half touchdown drive from Williamsburg after they recovered a fumble punt return deep in Demons territory. The Raiders led 7-0 at the half.

In the second half on Williamsburg first drive they were really moving the ball and got deep into Washington territory but a Tanner Knupp interception was returned to the Raider 20 and that set up a Jake Redlinger to Colin Steele touchdown pass.

The Raiders answered to go up 14-7 but the Demons got a touchdown pass from Redlinger to Brock Kimball in the fourth to knot it up at 14-14. With 2-minutes in the game, instead of punting Williamsburg decided to go for it on fourth down and their quarterback sneak was stopped at the Raider 42 which set the Demons up. They got down to the 17 and Jake Redlinger took in on a quarterback run. The Demons win 21-14. With the win the Demons actually lock up the three seed and will go to Laporte City to play Union.
