The Mid-Prairie School District is reporting a slight rise in enrollment. Superintendent Mark Schneider says based on preliminary certified enrollment numbers the district grew by 47 students. Schneider says in their K-12 buildings they saw a growth of 20 students with the majority of that in Wellman Elementary.

In figuring enrollment, they look at K-12 buildings, as well as preschool, alternative learning center and home school assistance programs. School Districts in Iowa are funded primarily on a per student basis.
