The City of Washington Maintenance and Construction Department will begin fire hydrant flushing next week.  Maintenance and Construction Supervisor JJ Bell says they anticipate the flushing process to last 10 to 14 days beginning Monday.

He says during the flushing process, residents may experience loss of water pressure, discoloration, or rust.
