Four Area Teams Qualify for Football Playoffs

The Iowa high school football postseason gets under on Wednesday, and four area teams will be suiting up for another week. In Class 3A, the Washington Demons beat Williamsburg 21-14. With the win the Demons finished in third place of 3A District 6 so they will travel to face Union, Laporte City.

In 2A, the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks travel to take on Wilton. Mid-Prairie is the number three seed out their district.

In A, the Lone Tree Lions and the WACO Warriors qualify. Lone Tree is the number 2 seed out of the district so they will host Iowa Valley. WACO is the number 3 seed and will travel to take on Lynnville-Sully.

All games will start at 7-pm on Wednesday. You’ll be able to hear the Demon game live on the radio. Mid-Prairie’s game will streamed live on the internet at and then aired tape delay on the radio after the Demon game.
