Washington received a visit from two Government officials yesterday. Governor Terry Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds held the first in a series of town hall meetings at the Washington High School to get feedback to the education reforms that have been announced.
He says the goal is to have a great teacher in every classroom, great principal in every building and focus on improving student achievement.
The series of meetings is a follow up to the Iowa Education Summit held in July. The Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Special Assistant for Education Linda Lantor Fandel heard concerns from several people about the reforms.
