The Lone Tree Lion football team is getting ready for their Monday playoff matchup with BGM. The Lions are headed to Brooklyn to take on the Bears. The two teams met in week six when both teams were ranked. It was the Lions who won that game 32-6. Lone Tree Head Coach Mike Miller says they know that BGM is going to be hungry to get another shot at them and they’ll need to be ready. He says in playing the Bears the big challenge is stopping their leading rusher Danny Braun. Miller describes him as a very dangerous and strong running back who ran for around 200 yards on the Lions in their earlier meeting. He says they’ll being focusing on preparing for him today when they work on defense. Miller says they primarily worked on offense yesterday. BGM beat Danville 47-0 in the opening round of the playoffs while Lone Tree beat Iowa Valley 49-7. BGM has two losses on the season the first came in week one to Regina and the second was to the Lions. Lone Tree’s only loss was to second ranked Lisbon.
