The Mid-Prairie boys ran strong against a challenging field at the IMS Invitational cross country meet. The Golden Hawks finished third as a team with 77 team points. Vinton-Shellsburg won with 42 points, Solon was second with 63. The Golden Hawks’ Peter Schwartz finished fourth running 17:39. Teammates Jake O’ Donnell was 10th running 18:07 and Jack Draper 12th.

Looking at how some of the other area teams did on the boys side, Fairfield was sixth, Washington 9th and Lone Tree 10th.

For the Demons:

For IMS:
Jesse Shetler 24th

North Mahaska’s Tanner Wanders won with a 17:11 time.

On the girls side, Solon won, they had four girls finish in the top six, Williamsburg second, Wapello third. As for area teams, Lone Tree fifth, Fairfield sixth, Mid-Prairie seventh, and Demons ninth.
