Mid-Prairie homecoming festivities continued Wednesday evening.

Events included the Mid-Prairie Cross Country team continuing the tradition of running Friday’s game ball from Kalona to Wellman, and a tailgater complete with supper, a clown, DJ and powder puff football.

The festivities moved inside later in the evening for volleyball, skits, cheers, a pep rally, the introduction of the 2011 homecoming court and the crowning of the 2011 King and Queen. This year’s Queen is Brianna Hershberger, daughter of Larry and Evelyn Hershberger of Kalona, the 2011 King is Jaemin Powell, son of Shawn and Tonya Powell of Wellman.

Homecoming festivities will conclude at Mid-Prairie High School tomorrow night with the football game against Albia. KCII will broadcast that game live on kciiradio.com just click on radio plus with pregame starting at 7:15. A rebroadcast of the game can be heard on AM/FM KCII following the Washington game tomorrow evening.
