The Mid-Prairie School District is weighing building a new central office building versus remodeling their existing office. Superintendent Mark Schneider says the district originally intended to remodel after securing a Washington Count River Boat Foundation grant. He says in looking at bids for the project, the district decided to research if it would be more cost effective to build new instead of remodeling.

Schneider says they also intend to check with the foundation and make sure the grant would still be available if they built new rather than remodeled. He says he plans to report back to the school board on his findings at their October 24th meeting.
