Although Mid-Prairie Schools have been considering the issue of replacing their central offices for some time, they came to the decision last Monday to put the issue aside for a later date. Originally the plan was to renovate the current offices, but the cost proved to be too high. The next idea was to either purchase a new building near the High School or surrounding area. This idea was also too costly. The potential deal with a solar panel company was also tabled as part of the meeting. The school board had concerns about entering into a 25 year contract with that company.
