The new Library Director has started at the Washington Public Library.  Debbie Stanton started at the Library this past weekend and she says previous Director Patrick Finney did an amazing job of getting the Library to where it currently is.

She says she has a goal of expanding the programming for adults and increase the awareness of the Library’s electronic resources.  Stanton says there will be challenges, but continuing the job Finney did and supporting the staff is her focus right now.

Debbie returns to Washington from Kenai, Alaska where she worked as a Grant Assistant for the Kenaitze Indian Tribe.
