An accident south of Washington has sent two people to the hospital. According to the Iowa State Patrol, 27 year old Nicholas Yoho of Wayland was traveling northbound on Wayland Road two miles south of Washington and failed to negotiate a curve just before 11:00 last night. Yoho’s vehicle entered the west ditch and slid until striking a field drive.
The 1994 Chrysler LeBaron then became airborne and landed north of the field drive. Both Yoho and the passenger, 35 year old Michael Miller of Wayland were ejected.
Both Yoho and Miller were transported to the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City by Washington County Ambulance. Those responding to the scene were the Iowa State Patrol, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Washington Police Department and Washington Fire and Rescue.
The accident remains under investigation and KCII will bring you more information when it becomes official.
