The Washington County Auditor is urging voters who aren’t registered to do so by the end of the month. Bill Fredrick says registering early is much less stressful than registering on Election Day itself.  He says if you register in the Auditor’s office, you will fill out the form and verify the information and you are done.

Fredrick says pre-registration forms are available in his office, any city hall or on the Secretary of State’s website.  He says proof of residency will be needed along with a photo ID if you register on the date of the election.

He notes if you are moving within the county, you don’t need all of your identification when you register.  The pre-registration deadline is October 28th at 5:00 pm.  For more information, contact the Auditor’s office.
