Today is the last day the West Chester Post Office will be open for service. Postal Service Spokesman Richard Watkins says with the Internet more and more people are paying bills and communicating online which is driving a decline in use of the postal service.

This decline is leading to cuts and closures nationwide. After today, West Chester residents’ mail will be delivered to cluster boxes at a central location.

Watkins says these boxes are secured and each resident will receive a key to open their box. Also there will be a slot for outgoing mail.
